Earlier this month, a fire broke out on Dundas West and subsequently took down popular restaurant spot Musa. Nearby neighbor Magpie Tavern will be hosting a fundraiser tomorrow night for Musa which will include musical performances by members of White Cowbell Oklahoma, the Golden Dogs and more. There will also be a silent auction and raffle prizes. Doors for the event are 7pm and it is PWYC.

Singing Lamb favourite The Balconies are about to embark on a west-coast tour and to help raise money – musicians are not millionaires y’know…unless you’re Lady Gaga and/or Beyonce – the pop-rock trio are holding a covers night fundraiser tomorrow night at Sneaky Dee’s!
Cover is only $5.00 and doors are at 10PM.
The band has also enlisted a whack of their friends (literally, a whack) from various bands to help cover your favourite 60s and 70s hits! Fun!

Evening Hymns
In light of the recent events in Haiti, Evening Hymns (a.k.a. Jonas Bonnetta) has organized a fundraiser this Sunday in Oshawa. The event, called Hymns For Haiti, will include performances from Evening Hymns along with Patrick Dorie, Dan Brooks and Jeff Leech and will take place at the Studio Restaurant in the Robert McLaughlin Gallery (72 Queen Street, Civic Centre, Oshawa, Ontario), starting at 2PM. This is a PWYC show (with a suggested donation of $5) – ALL proceeds to the Red Cross to help with earthquake relief for Haiti.
