I was also disappointed by the attendance. They were my favourite “new” band at SXSW this year. No encore, because they drive everyone out for their disco or whatever goes on there. That’s also the reason for the early start, which really hurt the attendance for Fat Creeps, who I also enjoyed. Here are some of my pics from the show.

when they opened for those darlins? i only caught the last song of their set and the crowd was definitely sparse at that point in the evening. i also wonder if the venue has something to do with it too.

Nashville bands seem to be disappointed by Toronto audience’s quietude; I remember Heavy Cream being similarly disappointed.

Awesome review man! It’s also good to see something being written and printed about such technical musicians and the fantastic music they create. Well done! Wish I could’ve been at the last show of the tour, that would’ve been unbelievable…not that it wasn’t when I saw them…but you get me.
